April is possible my favourite month of the year...and no despite what my husband likes to think this isn't because it's his Birthday month!

Spring is in the air - trees are beginning to blossom, flowers are blooming and there is the promise of a lovely summer to come. April also marks the beginning of the main wedding season for me and I kicked things off for 2016 with Laura and Jon's fantastic wedding at St. Margaret's Church followed by a reception at Pendrell Hall.

I always enjoy the morning preparations with the bride - it gives me a chance to get to know the ladies a little more and I can really get creative with the details. Laura and Jon's home offered me no end of lovely little backdrops and props for these!

After a wonderful ceremony in a gorgeous church - the part of the day that Laura and Jon said they enjoyed the most :) - they took off in style to Pendrell Hall in a fabulous little open top VW beetle with the bridesmaids following in a VW camper. As always, Pendrell Hall offered a stunning setting for photographs both indoors and out and the weather was surprisingly very kind to us at all of the important moments! 

I'll be back to Pendrell on Saturday with Steph and Lee - for now, here's a few shots of Laura and Jon's beautiful day...
