After a wonderful few days of over-eating and playing boardgames with the family, it was off to Dumbleton Hall for me on 30th December to photograph the lovely Amanda and Darren as they became husband and wife.
A stunning hotel with rolling hills and roaring fires in the impressive lobby, I had fallen in love with this venue a few months back when I went to visit and was excited to get started. After spending the morning with both bride and groom for preparation shots, Amanda and Darren had a beautiful civil ceremony and all were oblivious to the driving rain outside!
After the ceremony, Darren had even arranged a surprise for Amanda of 2 reindeer outside the hotel! The weather meant we couldn't venture far unfortunately, but they were both very up for having their photographs taken!
Being between Christmas and New Year, the hotel was decorated festively and Amanda and Darren had opted to make the most of this and go for a silver and gold theme with Christmas themed decorations. Having produced their wedding invites for them, along with the matching seating plan and table placards, it was fab to see it all come together on the day. Jamie Knight and his Manuka Band did a fantastic job on the evening, along with an impromptu performance from Darren's best man who happens to be an Elvis Presley tribute singer! Good times!!
